Hello again and welcome to the new Whitney Live blog – check in here for show updates, recaps, historical tidbits, and the chance to peek behind the scenes of the Whitney Museum’s performance series.
Find us in the Whitney’s Lower Gallery (at 945 Madison Ave @ 75th Street) on select Friday nights during Whitney After Hours. Shows start at 7pm. We don’t have tickets and reservations are not necessary. Whitney Live is FREE with museum admission which is pay-what-you-wish after 6pm.
Here are a couple of photos from the recent past for a taste of what we look like sometimes:
Dirty Projectors in the Lower Gallery last summer…

Nadia Sirota (viola) and Nico Muhly (composer) in the Lower Gallery in January 2007…
Brandin Steffinson was here during Chez Bushwick’s residency in early 2008…

Indie rock, new classical music, dance — the content changes from week to week but is always in concert with the Whitney’s broader mission, reflecting a commitment to American art past and present.
Hope to see you here!
